Join Synergy for How Leaders Create Opportunities for Women to Grow: a Practical Discussion with Wyetta Ford from HR Coach.
About the Discussion
Earlier this year, the Women in Synergy peer group participated in a discussion with Wyetta Ford about the role mentors, allies, and sponsors play in helping women grow professionally. One of the biggest takeaways was that career growth is a shared responsibility. Women need to take ownership of their own development, but leaders also have a significant influence on creating opportunities, providing encouragement, and opening doors.
Following that discussion, one of our members asked an important question:
"What can we do to better support the women in our organizations?"
This practical discussion is designed to answer that question.
During this one-hour session, Wyetta will challenge owners and senior leaders to think differently about their role in developing talent. What does it mean to be a sponsor instead of just a mentor? How do you recognize high-potential employees who may not always advocate for themselves? What opportunities can you create that help women gain confidence, visibility, and leadership experience?
Together, we'll explore practical examples, discuss common leadership blind spots, and share ideas that leaders can apply immediately within their own organizations. The goal isn't to provide a one-size-fits-all solution. It's to leave with a better understanding of how your leadership can help talented women grow while strengthening your organization for the future.
